Basement Renovation - Demolition, Structural, Framing, Dry Walling and Flooring

 

We live in a Toronto century home. We did a complete renovation of our basement, a full gut job. Outside of specialty trades, Val and his crew did all the work.

I have nothing but good things to say about working with Val. He is honest, hard-working, fair and a very nice guy. His is a very well trained, professional carpenter but has a much broader knowledge base in other fields as well. Val and his crew arrived daily on time, worked the full day and kept me updated on progress. We originally agreed he would do demolition, structural, framing and dry wall. I was so pleased with the work they did that I brought Val and his crew to do floor excavation for plumbing, tiles in the basement and finish carpentry. Now I'm planning to bring him again for finish carpentry in my up-stairs.

Only thing to note is he has a horrible taste in music, but then again, nobody's perfect. Hope this helps and good luck with your project!
